- Biohome ® Gravel is added with high-grade Manganese Oxide. This compound helps to remove chemical impurities, speeds beneficial bacteria growth (ie nitrifying (aerobic) and denitrifying (anaerobic)), reducing nitrites & nitrates.
- Like all Biohome ® products, a good mechanical filtration must be provided to insure the water passing through Biohome ® does not contain any debris that might clog it.
- It supports growth of zooplankton and is the perfect playground for shrimp.
